2. Purpose of the website

Solwyn operates an online platform through which travellers may discover and book stays at independently owned rural and farmhouse accommodation across the Mediterranean, and through which we publish editorial content about those properties and the people who run them.

Solwyn acts as an intermediary between the traveller and the accommodation provider. Solwyn is not the provider of the accommodation and does not own, operate or manage the properties listed on the platform. The contract for the stay is concluded between the traveller and the host. Solwyn’s role, responsibilities and limits are set out in full in our Booking Terms and Conditions.

3. Conditions of use

Access to this website is free, except for the cost of the user’s internet connection. Certain services require registration or the provision of personal data.

Users undertake to use the website and its contents in accordance with the law, this Legal Notice, public order and good faith, and to refrain from:

4. Intellectual and industrial property

All content published on solwyn.co — including photographs, video, text, editorial articles, illustrations, graphics, the Solwyn name and logo, page design, structure, layout and source code — is protected under Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996 approving the consolidated text of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act (LPI), Law 17/2001 on Trade Marks, and applicable international treaties.

This content is either owned by Solwyn, S.L., or owned by our host properties, partners, photographers and contributors and published by Solwyn under licence or with the express agreement of the rights holder. Publication on this website transfers no rights to the user.

4.1 Photography and imagery

The photographs and video on this website were commissioned, produced or licensed by Solwyn, or supplied to us by our partner properties under an agreement permitting their use on the Solwyn platform and in Solwyn’s own promotional channels. That agreement does not extend to any third party.

Accordingly, and without our prior written permission, it is prohibited to:

Solwyn expressly reserves its rights under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and the corresponding provisions of the LPI. The use of any content on this website for text and data mining, or for the training, development, fine-tuning or evaluation of artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, is expressly prohibited. This reservation is made in machine-readable form in our robots.txt file and applies regardless of the means of access.

4.3 Requesting permission

Press, media, partners and others wishing to reproduce our imagery or content should write to hello@solwyn.co specifying the images requested, the intended use, the publication or platform, and the duration. Permission granted for one use does not extend to any other. Where a property, photographer or contributor is credited, that credit does not entitle any third party to use the work.

4.4 Enforcement

Unauthorised use will be pursued, including through takedown requests to hosting providers, search engines and social platforms, and through the civil and criminal remedies available under the LPI and Articles 270 et seq. of the Spanish Criminal Code.

5. Images of identifiable people

Where an identifiable person appears in imagery published on this site — a host, a member of their family or staff, a contributor or a guest — that image is published with their consent under Organic Law 1/1982 on the civil protection of the right to honour, personal and family privacy, and one’s own image. Any person appearing in our imagery may withdraw consent by writing to hello@solwyn.co, and we will remove or replace the image within a reasonable period.

Links from this site. This website contains links to third-party sites, including those of our host properties. Solwyn does not control those sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices. The presence of a link does not imply any association, endorsement or recommendation beyond what is expressly stated.

Links to this site. Linking to solwyn.co is permitted provided the link is to a full page, does not reproduce our content, does not present the site in a false or misleading light, and does not imply an association that does not exist. Framing is not permitted.

7. Liability

Solwyn takes reasonable steps to ensure the website functions correctly and that the information published on it is accurate and current. However, Solwyn does not warrant that the site will be available without interruption or free from error, and accepts no liability for:

8. Applicable law and jurisdiction

This Legal Notice is governed by Spanish law.

Where the user is a consumer, any dispute will be subject to the courts determined by applicable consumer protection law. Under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012, a consumer resident in the European Union may bring proceedings in the courts of their own place of domicile, and may only be sued there.

Where the user is not a consumer, the parties submit to the courts of the city of Barcelona, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction.

9. Alternative dispute resolution

The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 following Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available.

Consumers wishing to pursue an out-of-court settlement may contact [the relevant consumer arbitration board / Junta Arbitral de Consumo, or a certified ADR entity].
