Terms of Use

Solwyn · Last updated: [DATE]

These Terms govern your use of solwyn.co. If you make a booking, our Booking Terms and Conditions also apply and take precedence in the event of conflict. If you list a property, our Host Terms apply.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using this website you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. Who we are and what we do

Solwyn, S.L. operates an online platform on which travellers may discover and book stays at independently owned rural and farmhouse accommodation. Full company details are in our Legal Notice.

Solwyn is an intermediary. We do not own, operate or manage the properties on the platform. The accommodation contract is between you and the host.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and have legal capacity to enter contracts. By using the site you confirm this is the case.

4. Accounts

Where the platform offers accounts, you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these Terms, or where required by law, and will tell you why unless prevented from doing so.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Content you submit

Where you submit content — an enquiry, a review, a property suggestion through “Know a hidden gem?”, a photograph — you confirm you own the rights to it or have permission to share it, and that it is accurate and lawful.

You grant Solwyn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish that content on the platform and in our promotional channels, for as long as it remains relevant to the service. You may withdraw this licence by contacting hello@solwyn.co, and we will remove the content within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it.

You retain ownership of your content. We do not claim it.

Reviews. Where we publish reviews, we will state clearly whether and how we verify that the reviewer actually stayed at the property, as required by Article 20.1.h TRLGDCU. We do not publish fake reviews, we do not commission them, and we do not suppress genuine negative reviews. [Confirm your actual verification process and describe it here.]

7. Our content

All content on this site is protected by intellectual property rights as set out in our Legal Notice, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing on this site grants you any licence to reproduce our photography, editorial or branding.

8. Property listings and editorial content

We take care to describe properties accurately, and we visit the properties we list. However, listing information — including availability, prices, facilities and house rules — is supplied by hosts, who are responsible for its accuracy and for keeping it current.

Editorial articles reflect our impressions at the time of writing. Properties change: owners renovate, staff move on, restaurants close. We do not warrant that an article remains an accurate description of a property at the time you read it.

Where we become aware that a listing is materially inaccurate, we will correct or remove it.

9. Ranking and how properties are ordered

Where we present properties in a ranked or ordered list, the main parameters determining that order are: [complete this — e.g. editorial judgement, geographic relevance to the search, availability for the requested dates, membership tier, date of joining the platform].

Where a host’s membership tier or any payment to Solwyn influences ranking, that must be stated here explicitly, as required by Article 20.1.g TRLGDCU and Article 5 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150.

10. Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the site for business or operational reasons, and will give notice where reasonably possible.

11. Third-party links

The site contains links to third-party websites, including those of our hosts. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link does not imply endorsement.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including our obligations to consumers under the TRLGDCU.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, Solwyn is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your use of or inability to use the site, from any content on it, or from any third-party site accessed through it.

Our liability in connection with a booking is addressed separately in the Booking Terms and Conditions.

13. Notice and action

If you believe content on this site is unlawful, infringes your rights, or breaches these Terms, contact hello@solwyn.co with the URL, an explanation of the problem, and — for intellectual property claims — evidence of your rights and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised.

We will acknowledge receipt, review the notice diligently and without undue delay, tell you what we decide and why, and inform you of the means of redress available. Where we remove or restrict content, we will give the person who provided it a statement of reasons, unless the content is manifestly illegal or we are prohibited from doing so. This mechanism is operated in accordance with Articles 16 and 17 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).

Point of contact for authorities and users under the DSA: hello@solwyn.co. Communications may be sent in Spanish, Catalan, English or French.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. The version in force is the one published here, with the date at the top. Material changes affecting registered users will be notified by email before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

Spanish law applies. Where you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own domicile and may only be sued there, under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012. Where you are not a consumer, the courts of Barcelona have exclusive jurisdiction.

The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available.
